Debbi,

SSDI is only taxable at a certain income level in the household.. that

reported on taxes.. And then.. only a larger amount of income (from

those employed) than any of us in this area ever see in our paychecks..

Let me put it this way.. if you were going to have to pay income tax on

your disability... you certainly wouldn't be worried about paying for

heating oil, or groceries, or any of a number of bills that we worry

about.. AND you'd have some nice little nest egg in the bank in savings

to boot..

Okay.. just spoke with my niece, who works for H & R Block in Windber..

She said to tell you to call the Windber office of H & R Block around 5

o'clock this afternoon and ask specifically for .. she'll have a

definite answer for you on how your SSDI could be taxable.. She doesn't

think you fit the category to have to pay income tax.. but she's gonna

check to make absolutely sure for you... is the Windber

office number.

As for SSI.. SSI is never ever taxable.. because if there were enough

income in the household.. there would be no SSI coming in..
