Actually n.... and unfortunately... SSDI or just regular retirement

benefits can be taxable.. but a person would have to have a tremendous

amount of investment income for it to become so... is checking on

this for Debbi this afternoon when she gets to work.. and I'll catch her

in the morning or so after she's gotten home to find out what she found

out on that one..

I don't think any of us in this group have to worry too much about our

disability income being taxable.. cause we already worry how we're going

to pay our bills.. <grin>

I think I was eligible at one time.. for $9 in food stamps.. didn't know

it was on the card.. didn't use it cause I didn't know it was there..

and they took it back!..

Though my first case worker was good at her job, and she cared about the

people.. she made sure that her paperwork got filed and that she did

everything she could to help us out.. was drawing unemployment.. my

disability check wasn't but $350 a month.. and the car needed to be

fixed.. or maybe it was that had just started at the funeral home,

and was only part-time and the car needed to be fixed.. She told us that

was entitled to a clothing allowance (actually entitled twice a

year.. summer and winter clothes).. of maybe $200 or something like

that.. and that allotment wouldn't require receipts.. He didn't need

clothes at that point.. had all the stuff he'd worn at Charter.. She

gave him the allotment for the clothing.. and basically told us to use

it on the car to get it fixed.. and she wasn't afraid of the paperwork

that entailed..

They promoted her of course.. Caseworker that took her place.. I

couldn't tell you what her name is.. have never talked to her.. she

never returns phone calls.. haven't ever been able to get her " at her

desk " either.. So I don't even bother anymore....
