Looking at all the numbers lined up...... your conversion isn't so hot... your T3 is too low.... I'm not a fan of Synthroid, that's no secret... but are you game to try something?

See, you're right.. the seesaw thing with taking the 75 until you get hyperish and then dropping down until you are frumpy then upping it again arent' good for your body.... How about working on getting your dosing consistent?

Since the 50 seems to be not enough.. and the 75 seems to stress your body... what if you do a gradual increase and build up your body instead of seesaw?

It's actually how my endo got my body to take the Synthroid without getting sick.. building it up gradually.

First we need to figure out a 'base' to start with... give us some numbers.... how many days do you take 75 in a row, how many of 50 in a row... for a few cycles..... I want to come up with an amount of T4 that you take in a weeks time and divide it out per day.. then come up with a schedule for how many days to take 50 and how many to take 75 in an alternating pattern that will be consistent.... and not and all or nothing kinda thing... get my thought?

I did this, too, with some of my increases with natural... when I was having trouble adjusting to the next level.... for me it was taking the higher dose every third day until I was comfy with that... the every other day, until I was comfy with that... then every day.... when I was comfy with that, then I could move up again.. in the same stepping fashion....

Some of us have a hard time adjusting to dosage changes... but they up or down, a change in brand.... all kinds of factors can throw our wimpy persnickety bodies for a loop.... we have to figure out how to help them adjust to changes...

By brain is bruised today... I'll stop for now... we need to figure out how to get your conversion up though... so don't let me forget, okay? Right off the top I'm not seeing any selenium in your supplement list..... that might be the first thing to add....

Actually, it seems I can only take the higher dosage of synthroid 75mgfor a few days at a time...I start to feel hyper - strange - can'tquite put my finger on it, so I switch back to lower dosage 50mg and Ifeel better. I have WAY more energy than I've had for years afterhaving the parathyroid removed. But now that I know what it feelslike to feel better...and not just to be told ..."your getting older"!I want to feel the best I can because I know I don't have to settleif there is a chance of getting stronger. My body is SO sensitive to so many med's that I can't take half ofthem. So again its hit and miss what works for me. The synthroidseems to work but I'm sure something is missing. I am posting my testresults from June (on only 50mg dosage ),Oct when I first started thehigher dosage of synthroid...but was only taking it a couple times aweek. My Free T3 was much higher then. So could that mean I ONLYneed to take the 75 mg a couple times a week?JUNE TEST RESULTS - BEFORE UPPING DOSAGE TO 75MG TSH Range: 0.35 - 5.60/UIU/ML My result - 0.32FREE T4 Range: 0.58-1.64/ NG/DL My result - 1.06FREE T3 Range: 2.3-4.2/ pg/mL My result - 2.9 OCTOBER TEST RESULTS - UPPING DOSAGE TO 75MG A COUPLE TIMES A WEEKTSH Range: 0.35 - 5.60/UIU/ML My result - 0.59FREE T4 Range: 0.58-1.64/ NG/DL My result - 1.28FREE T3 Range: 2.3-4.2/ pg/mL My result - 3.1DECEMBER TEST RESULTS WITH ALMOST DAILY 75MG TSH Range: 0.35 - 5.60/UIU/ML My result - 0.46FREE T4 Range: 0.58-1.64/ NG/DL My result - 1.23FREE T3 Range: 2.3-4.2/ pg/mL My result - 2.6I also take:Vit D 400 2/dly calicum 600 with vit D 2/dly Folic Acid 4mg /dlyVit E 400 1/dlyVit C 500 "Vit B Super complex "Cod Liver Oil with Vit A & D "Vit B-12 100 mcg > It doesn't look like your converting sufficiently.... how do you feel?I feel better than I did before surgery and on the days when the achesand pains start creeping up I take the higher dose of synthroid andkeep taking until I start to notice hair falling out more...hyperfeelings..and then I go back down to smaller dose like a never endingcircle but it does seem to work pretty well except I'm afraid it maybe doing more harm with the seesaw effect. What do you think? Thanks again for your help and information,Judy
