Guest guest
A ha- so I am not crazy!!! No one has had a specific answer...yet. It must be linked to pooling thyroid? Or too much/too little cortisol? Glad someone else is asking. VAL? > > Did this get anwsered, I was curious about this too? I went through 3 pregnancies and not one spider vein or varicose vain. Since starting HC in this past year or so, I have spider veins all over my ankles and legs. >
Guest guest
Bonnie, I remember this question being asked before but I don't remember the answer. Varicose veins are caused by weakened veins from weight or pooling of blood in the vein which damages it.. I don't know what the answer is.....Subject: Re: One more SymptomTo: RT3_T3 Date: Saturday, January 2, 2010, 12:08 PM A ha- so I am not crazy!!! No one has had a specific answer...yet. Guest guest
I am not pregnant, are you Bonnie? I was saying that I didn't get any spider veins or varicose veins when pregnant, which is odd. Blood volume goes up 40% when pregnant so the blood tends to pool and damage veins, plus the added weight doesn't help. I was so swollen when pregnant, it was unbelievable, but I had undx AI and on synthroid as well.

Guest guest
Alas ... I want to get pregnant!!! I did think these types of veins were from child bearing - guess not. I need to lose weight- like 10-15 lbs compliments of the dessicated debacle, but I'm not super heavy. Yet ....Sent from my iPhone I am not pregnant, are you Bonnie?
