Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Just wanted to see if you all have ever used a CarePage? It's a website where you can document and share your story with friends and family. It's totally private (can't be googled) and you invite your friends to join. Then you can upload pictures and write updates so you don't have to hang on the phone all the time. My friend has one and she received SO MUCH support from people who posted messages. Everyone can read the messages posted, so it creates this awesome community of people rallying around you. Just wanted to share! it's www.carepages.com
Guest guest
I use Caring Bridge http:caringbridge.com It's great for telling everyone at once what is going on with your treatments rather than explaining it over and over or sending out tons of email messages. I found out about it when I was first diagnosed, from a friend and have used it from the beginning. LICS June "The best protection any woman can have...is courage." Guest guest
I like this idea. Its alot better than repeating yourself over and over trying to update everyone. I have alot of family out of town and state so it would be easier to do something like this. Guest guest
I haven't checked out the care page so I can't speak for that but I love caring bridge. I now do volunteer work for them, minor, they send me flyers and business cards and I hand them out in the community, mostly at cancer centers in my area. When I am well I will offer to do more. They have done so much for me just by being there and being free I feel the need to give something back. LICS June "The best protection any woman can have...is courage." Guest guest
Wow! that's awesome you do that for caring bridge. I just checked it out and it seems like the same thing. www.CarePages.com is also FREE! My friend has over 500 people joined to her CarePage community - so everyday she can log on and get really sweet messsages from friends and family. As a life long friend, it helps me to read all those messages too and it warms my heart to see how many lives she's touched.June wrote: I haven't checked out the care page so I can't speak for that but I love caring bridge.
