Guest guest
Need this to be quick as I live in Australia and we are about to be hit by one of the biggest cyclones this country has ever seen. Haven't talked to Nada in a year and she turns 6o next week. Just received and email from a flying monkey informing me to get my daughter to call Nada for her birthday and let her know we are all ok. She ended with " This is not too much to ask is it? " Obviously Nada is draining this monkey with drama of my current situation. Nada lives away and would be seeing it all over the news. I haven't responded and I am fumming. We are headed for a National Disaster and they want ME to ring Nada for her BIRTHDAY and to let her know we are ok. HELLO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first I wanted to email and tell flying monkey to you know what?????? After the rage has gone and I didn't react straight away to what I know was the wrong response, I am now left dumb founded on the craziness of it all. I have so much more to think about as it is all hitting in 24 hrs. Please anyone send me some peace of mind to get this situation out of my mind so I can focus on what is happening in our town. That is how much affect Bpd and all the Nada stuff has over me that it put the cyclone out of my mind when it is a serious threat and I need to be focused again on my own life. Guest guest
I don't blame you one bit for being angry about that flying monkey call! Any reasonable person would absolutely not worry about getting a birthday call during a huge cyclone--it's absolutely insane to think otherwise. Now that I think about it--it is insanity we're talking about here, isn't it? Well, BPD sure comes close to insanity, I think! If people give you any grief about not calling your " poor mother, because it's your MOOOTHERRR, just tell them, Sorry, I've been dealing with shit of my own, thanks. I think a big cyclone and my safety and that of my family trumps birthday wishes. You can call her AFTER you pick up all the pieces from the cyclone--on another thought, you could say, " Gotta make this quick, but just wanted to call and say " happy birthday. " have to go now, the wind is blowing away my dog Toto, and I don't want to land in OZ myself. Bye! " and then you can absolutely ignore anything else your mom or flying monkeys say, because you have a good excuse. Mother Nature trumps Mother Nada in all situations, in my opinion. Guest guest
Don't let nada or her minions distract you; focus on what's important: keeping yourself and your family safe and well. Ignore the flying monkey. Maybe block that flying monkey from your e-mail account, too. *Ting!* Glenda the Good Witch just magically exploded the flying monkey; 'bye monkey! -Annie > > Thanks so much everyone I love you all. I knew you guys would make me feel better and understand it all. Thanks for your support and great feedback. I agree with everyone of you. Thanks for your quick responses too. So much anxiety already without all the other BS to deal with. > I suppose if anything it confirms why I am NC and nothing will ever change. > Kazam x

Guest guest
We live inland but are still taking precautions. Mainly people near the beach are having to move. It really is amazing how " Nada situation can eclipse real life stuff. " I think that is what I was so surprised about. Even after a year it still feels so raw when something like that happens and there is still a physical reaction that stops me short. I can't wait until that goes away if it ever does. Kazam x > > Stay safe Kazam! I just looked up the cyclone in the news and it looks bad - are you going to have to evacuate? I know the stress of a nada situation can eclipse serious real life stuff - for me too. At least the flying monkey used email...easier to delete, ignore, or send a brief reply after the hurricane is past at your leisure. > > >
