Guest guest
Hi , Perhaps you should get a second opinion. I just had to have a back molar crowned and although it was on the top, the dentist used porcelain. A year or two ago, I had a lower molar crowned, also with porcelain so it surprises me to hear your dentist doesn't want to use porcelain. Guest guest
The crown can be made of gold and that is not bad for you. Only the fillings that have mercury came under attac. Even the porcelain crowns have metal under them. My dentist's opinion is that if it is not visible it is better for the rest of your teeth to have metal crown, wich is softer than porcelain. Actually I have both. Agnes
