Guest guest
Dear Group, This is a valuable input from Geoff. I made the mistake of purchasing supplements of magnesium, selenium and zinc, only to realize later that my normal daily vitamin supplement already contains more than the daily requirements of these minerals. My vitamin supplement is SuperNutrition Men's Blend (iron free). Sincerely, Harald At 08:25 AM 8/16/02 -0700, Geoff wrote: .... For instance on the vitamin front, your multi should be sufficient to preclude the need for extra Magnesium, Potassium, Vitamin C, Selenium, B Complex, Biotin, Zinc, E & A.... Reading the various messages, I realise that I ought to be taking a supplement containing zinc and selenium, in addition to the things I am already on. However, I have a problem with malabsorption - I have tried zinc in the past due to tests showing low levels of zinc, but taking tablets hasn't brought about any sustained improvement. Does anyone know of a supplement with zinc and selenium that is suitable for those with absorption problems and multiple sensitivities? I have come across a few liquid multi-mineral supplements, but they all contain iron and my haemoglobin levels are a bit high (16.3; reference range 12.0 - 15.0)- so I've been advised to not take supplements containing iron. Guest guest
Hi Hazel, I would recommend "fatigued to fantastic" available from iherb.com amongst other places, as this really made me feels much better after starting it. I do not know what is in it, but the full list is listed on iherb. Val Reading the various messages, I realise that I ought to be taking a supplement containing zinc and selenium, in addition to the things I am already on
Guest guest
Hi , >> that BioCare have liquid zinc and selenium supplements that are suitable for those with malapsorption problems, so I think I will give them a try. I use BioCare drops - I mix them with my morning berry juice - they also do a good multi vitamin B. I discovered them a while ago on the Health site. I try to use drops as I have got fed up taking so many tablets/pills/capsules. B
