Katcha, Thank you so much for posting these; this kind of reminder is so great

and such a perfect time of year to be reinforcing these guidelines. All I hear

wherever I go are diet remarks. It's everywhere. This is a wonderful antidote

to the madness of the Season of feasting and fearing food. Sandarah

> Scream a loud " No " to thoughts in your head that declare you're 'good' for

eating under 1,000 calories or 'bad' because you a piece of chocolate cake. The

Food Police monitor the unreasonable rules that dieting has created. The police

station is housed deep in your psyche and its loudspeaker shouts negative barbs,

hopeless phrases, and guilt provoking indictments. Chasing the Food Police away

is a critical step in returning to Intuitive Eating.

I so have to get back on these steps. I intended too but then got sick and all off all my " plans " . And now so busy with company and the holidays.  Still I can go back and start with #1 and work my way through each one until I catch up. Sandy

Sandarah, I just thought of something that made me grin - whenever I 'hear' any

food police or diet demons bombarding me with THEIR 'seasons greetings' I will

happily hum to myself - 'Deck the halls with my favorite goodies - yummy yummy

yum, yum yum yum!!' Giggles!!

I am glad that a review of IE Principles is a positive for one's IE journey. I

was thinking that maybe it was a bit overwhelming to post these every few days

or weekly. But I also wanted to add that the idea is NOT to create a feeling of

'gotta do' as in rules! Perhaps it would be better if I randomly posted a

Principle - without a number, and not in the 'number order' from the book - so

that we can respond as it strikes us. Hmmm.
