Guest guest
I would NOT recommend you do that. As a matter of fact 4 hours is probably better for T3. I know Nick has done that with success and in theory it should work but it did not for me. By the time the 3 and then 4th dose can around I was double and tripling on my dosage. It didn't have enough to clear out before I added more to it. It was a very bad idea for me and I think Diane just recommended to someone not to do it either. Just our experience with it. The reason I ask is because that's how often I have to take my HC right now. And it is a REAL pain to take the HC every 2 1/2 hours, but the T3 every 3 hours. My life seems to revolve around taking pills. When I was able to take HC every 3 hours, it was no problem. Now it's like, " Um, sorry honey, but can you wait here while I go take my t3. No, it won't ruin the mood, promise! " ;-) TIA, Kathleen ------------------------------------

Guest guest
Thank you. Any thoughts or idea on dosing then? It is very hard to take the HC and t3 on such different schedules. My HC doesn't last 4 hours like it used to when I first started taking it. But back then I wasn't on T3, so I suppose I go through the HC faster now. Dosing: 9:30 -- HC, t3 12 -- HC 12:30 -- t3 2:30 -- HC 3:30 -- t3 5 to 5:30 - HC 6 - t3 See how terrible this schedule is! :-( My life revoles around taking my meds. My doctor suggested SR t3, but I am worried to just swap over. I have no idea how much my cynomel equates to in terms of sr t3. Nick wrote somewhere it might 60% as strong as cynomel. > > I would NOT recommend you do that. As a matter of fact 4 hours is probably > better for T3. Guest guest
Val, another reason I got onto a frequent HC dosing schedule was due to some 's advocate who takes HC every 2 hours and finds he needs less if he does this. But I guess with him it is different as he doesn't make any cortisol on his own. > > If your HC is lasting LES Stime than it used to you are not on enough. > Yoiu shoudl be able to extend the itme between dsoses th elonger oyu are > on it as you buiold reserves. If you take it more often you will need to take less each dose or less doses overall, unless you are due an increase anyway when tightening the spacing can have that effect.
