ARE WE READY FOR CHRISTMAS ? We are ready for Christmas, every gift found and bought !We have wrapped all those presents we eagerly sought.Our houses are shining, polished up and dust-free,And we've decorated a most beautiful tree. We have cooked and baked till we're ready to quit(Maybe this year we've overdone it a bit).Each year all this hustle seems sure to recur,And are we really as ready as we thought we were ? Have all our preparations been just a bit greedy ?Did we remember the sick, the lonely, the needy ?Have we taken the time to say "I'm sorry"If we've wronged someone or caused them worry ? Have we set aside time in our preparationTo remember the reason for this glad celebration ?If we're truly ready, that's wonderful, it's great !But if some things still need doing, it isn't too late.
