Guest guest
I don't think that is entirely true. First of all you have a consultation with the pharmacist on the medication that has been prescribed to you, that is medical advice. Many times a doctor has told me if I have any questions about medicines I'm taking to ask a pharmacist, they know quite a bit about medications, they have to, that is why they are in the business of dispensing medicines. I will almost always call the pharmacist before the doctor about what I should do for a rash or an infection or persistent cold infections because I can usually talk to a pharmacist immediately and for free where as I have to wait for my Dr. to call me back or make an appointment and pay a fee. But a pharmacist should, and will, always tell you when what you need is beyond the scope of his/her knowledge and that you need to consult with your physician. When it comes to wanting to know about what meds I'm taking I always ask my pharmacist first. LICS June "The best protection any woman can have...is courage." That could get him in BIG trouble for practicing medicine without a license. I haven't seen a medical doctor post in this group, so I don't know who you are referring to there.I will be thinking of you and your mother when she has her surgery Wednesday. Guest guest
Yes, of course, a pharmicist can tell you about meds you have been prescribed and recommend over the counter remedies, he just can't make a diagnosis. Sorry if my meaning was not clear to you. > > > > a doctor and a pharmist who is in here ; I surely do wish I lived > > close to you so I could talk about mom.
