Guest guest
Hi, I'm . I am new to intuitive eating. I've researched the topic for a while and have tried to pay attention to my body. Today is the first day that I have actually tried to follow my natural hungry and full patterns. It's going well so far. I devised my own hunger scale based upon the clues I've noticed in the past with my body. 0 ravenous, shaky, irrational (will eat anything!) 1 empty stomach, maybe growling, rational enough to make wise choices 2 slightly empty stomach, beginning hunger, can wait to eat if necessary 3 satisfied, have room left but can stop and be okay 4 slightly full, comfortable, 3 or 4 bites more will lead to #5 5 full, still comfortable but need to stop eating right now! 6 stuffed, need to unbutton pants, very uncomfortable! Right now I am at a 1 because I've been doing some work. I need to eat before I hit a 0. I look forward to chatting with you all!
Guest guest
Welcome and what a wonderful start you are off to! I had to use a hunger scale more simple than what is in the IE book when I started too. But that's IE all the way - personalizing our choices instead of accepting what is 'best' for us (or so we are told ;-) Keep up the good work and looking forward to hearing more from you. Guest guest
, welcome. I'm sorry this response has taken so long to come. This has been a very busy time for me and I was away on a short vacation. Was suppose to go on another one with daughter and grandson, but he got sick yesterday. Anyway, I used a hunger scale too that I adapted to fit me. And it changed over time to fit my changing needs and progress. Keep posting. We help each other. Sandy Hi, I'm .
