Guest guest
I just received my first Lugols order 2 days ago and was wondering the same thing. I've been keeping it in the fridge just in case. I'm also kinda confused about the dosing instructions on their website for the 2% formula; I'll probably just call them. Just a quick question - I just got my Lugols in the mail and there are no directions anywhere. Does it need to be refrigerated once I open it? Guest guest
No it doesnt havent to be kept cold. Heat will make it evaporate faster. As for dosing you want to dilute it in clean water, or non citrus juice or put it in peanut butter. Just about anything they will eat you can mix it with. Its pretty easy to hide one drop. Or 2. Which is about all little kids will be getting at once anyway. And you can give half a drop if the child is small and you want to go slower. Just put half a drop in water, you drink half and give the other half :-) Iodine (especially greater than 2%) can be tough on some peoples skin and mouth/throat tissues if not diluted. Plus the more water you put the less it tastes bad! I never had a problem giving the iodine.Drinks it right up in water. GSE on the other hand was never fun and never easy. Guest guest
Some say that the iodine is converted to iodide by the C. Which is not a real probably except the body has to convert it back. And since alot of people cant do that and the body uses both it's probably better to just do it away from citrus. On the other hand some say it doesnt matter. I go with the dont make my body work harder than it has to. Cheryl > > > > > > > > > > > > Just a quick question - I just got my Lugols in the mail and there are no > > > directions anywhere. Guest guest
So our Lugols arrived in the mail. I decided to try it out. Check out dumbass: I filled the dropper a little and just squeezed it straight into my mouth to see what it was like. All I can say is- don't ever do that. lmaooo. Nasty stuff. BUT...hours later when it was time for bed, I felt so good. I had nice energy. Not nervous energy like you would get from coffee, just an overall sense of well being and calm - but there's no way I could have slept. I could've gotten up out of bed and cleaned the enire house. I watched "Weeds" instead...I was up til 4 a.m. Our house is being blindsided with 2 different crises at once and I should be stressed, but I'm remarkably calm. Coincidence, maybe. But whatever it takes to spare a few more hairs from turning gray....
Guest guest
I dropped some into my mouth and not only was it disgusting, it seemed like it was burning my tongue. Meh.I think I will take mine at noon, because if I take it too early, I am exhausted by evening. lol So different from when i got my bottle and looked at it for a week before i could take one drop! Most people do get that kind of energy so taking it in the Am or Afternoon helps. I pretty much take mine thruout the day stopping by dinnertime. I have coated my mouth in straight 2% lugols iodine. Dont even notice the taste anymore. Hasnt helped my grey hair yet but i dont have bald patches anymore! People who use iodine and clean their bodies up realize how unwell they have felt. So much so that being unwell has become a way of life and they didnt even know it. Cheryl > > So our Lugols arrived in the mail. I decided to try it out. Guest guest
Iodine kills stuff. I could see a fever being produced. I might have had fever the first 2 weeks, cause it was very flu like and that usually includes a fever ;-) Course i just woke up so I cant remember exactly but it will now bug me the rest of the day. I would say i pretty much felt like crap that first 10 days. did too. I know that we didnt have any high fevers. Next depends on what you think constitutes fever. To me anything over 102 is worrisome. Anything under i leave alone. Coincidence to getting a cold or other bug is possible specially since you are iodine deficient I did take IBU (lots) back then so perhaps i didnt have fever because of that ;-) Cheryl > > Cheryl, is it common for a person to get a fever the first time taking iodine? > or is it most likely coincidence? > -tammy >

Guest guest
Hi Cheryl,Here's another question for you, and I am praying the answer is yes. Can iodine affect 'that time of the month'? Please say yes.I am 3 days late and completely freaking out, but remembered that iodine affects thyroid stuff, so I was thinking maybe it can affect hormones in general? Sorry for too much personal info. I just had to ask. Thanks.- Kirk-To: mb12 valtrex From: mossyforrest@...Date: Sat, 12 Mar 2011 15:20:00 +0000Subject: Re: Lugols Iodine kills stuff. Guest guest
Yes Thats the short answer. The lack of iodine and thyroid hormones has impact on everything for that time of the month. The deficiencies made me go into early menopause. It does that to alot of ladies. And the male equivelent, too. People do tend to be more fertile after starting iodine. Once they become iodine sufficient and correct thryoid balance of hormones the reproductive processes seem to get fixed.Takes time. Many months to years. And there is usually alot of imbalance to start with so fixing it can sometimes create additional periods or lack of. The first time i took Natural Thyroid, after taking Iodine for a few months, I had a period. It had been 5 years. That freaked me out. Along with all the fun hormonal swings. It was only one completely like the past periods and then it was gone and i wondered if i was going to have to endure another one. Mixed emotions. It was and is rather nice not having them even tho i had learned that the reason i stopped so early was because i was sick (thyroid hormone and iodine deficient). So pretty much anything is possible. Most people report improved monthly occurances after several months of iodine and/or natural thyroid supplementation. If you are freaking out because there is a possiblity of pregnancy then you might want to take a test :-) Cheryl > > > Hi Cheryl, > > Here's another question for you, and I am praying the answer is yes.
