Guest guest
ditto to that--we are currently using sonic because my kiddo's latest labs came back with low cholesterol. We had to do this last summer. No problems with it--I also asked about diet because we are pumping major calories into him but dr. wants the sonic--get right to it and the brain needs cholesterol to grow/function. hope this helps Re: Low cholesterol! Guest guest
Many kids on the spectrum have low cholesterol I believe it has something to do with not properly digesting and handling fats. Sonic cholesterol is what my son was given. It is by the company sonic and a dr must give it to you but not a prescription. > > Just got our latest bloodwork back, and my son's cholesterol is almost > half what it was about a year ago. Guest guest
It's not unusual for our kids to have this problem. You can supplement with Cholesterol under a doctor's supervision. Low cholesterol in children has been linked to behavioral issues. Guest guest
I knew a significant number of autistic kids had low cholesterol, so I had my son tested last year, and it was around 150. I was shocked to see his test results yesterday at 89.  Over the last several months I've sent out emails to the group pleading for help with my son's aggression toward other kids, usually smaller children and girls. Two days ago my son kicked a 1 yr-old toddler in the stomach on the playground, and then he laughed maniacally. I was absolutely horrified. The little boy's mother looked like she wanted to kill me. I didn't blame her. Maybe his aggression is linked to his low cholesterol. I hope so, so that I can fix it quickly.  It's not unusual for our kids to have this problem. You can supplement with Cholesterol under a doctor's supervision. Low cholesterol in children has been linked to behavioral issues.  Pamela From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of Soraya s Sent: Monday, March 14, 2011 7:56 PMTo: mb12 valtrex Subject: Low cholesterol!   Just got our latest bloodwork back, and my son's cholesterol is almosthalf what it was about a year ago. Guest guest
If you want to try some high cholesterol food with good side effects here are a few that might help too: *raw and or grassfed butter - vitamin K2 needed to process fat soluble vitamins *fermented full fat milk products- calcium, iodine, vitamin k2, probiotics, B vitamins if using kefir *oysters- high zinc *grass fed organ meats- raw liver is very good for our own liver and supplies high B vitamins *grass fed lard (pig fat)- second highest form of vitamin D *other good cholesterol foods: duck, goose, goose liver pate, shrimp, chicken skin, Basically anything we were told not to eat for the past 20 years ;-) Enjoy, Kathleen > > Just got our latest bloodwork back, and my son's cholesterol is almost > half what it was about a year ago.
