Can't find the original post for this e-mail -- had not heard about avoiding selenium -- I have been taking a supplement along with SRT3 -- so should I stop? My doc originally gave it to me to help convert t4 to t3 before discovering RT3 issue and suggested I stay on it while trying SRT3. Just realized it also contains iodine The supplement is called Thyrosol and contains the following:

EACH TABLET SUPPLIES:Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate) 3,000 IU Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) 400 IU Vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopheryl succinate) 100 IU Riboflavin 3 mg Niacin (as niacinamide) 4.5 mg Iodine (as potassium iodide) 76 mcg Zinc (as zinc glycinate†) 10 mg Selenium (as selenomethionine) 150 mcg Rosemary Leaf Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis) 79 mg

Thoughts? Suggestions??

Thanks,

Beth

So selenium is not good to take when you are trying to reduce RT3? I knew to avoid iodine. Any other supplements we should avoid? I hear pregnenolone and sea salt are good for reducing RT3...anything else work for reducing RT3. I understand Doctor Brownstein has a protocal for reducing RT3 that does not involve taking cytomel. Any Brownstein patients on this board?
