Guest guest
I've just joined this list, and enjoying reading your posts. I have been on and off diets my entire life, and gained and lost weight, finally realizing that I'm causing myself to go from one extreme to the other by low calorie diets, so want to learn to just eat right, not too little, not too much. Since I've begun eating what I'm hungry for, I have a lot fewer cravings, but it's still hard because I eat for reasons other than hunger. I also had several visits with a nutritionist to find out what my body really needs. I'm very interested to hear how the intuitive eating approach is working for others here, what works well, and what your challenges are. Sara B. Guest guest
Welcome Sara. I found I learned a lot from this group or like minded seekers of INternal (body) wisdom. A nutritionist can be a good source of information but I suspect that you will find that the 'best' source is your own self ;-) Our bodies have many and varied 'wants and needs' - the challenge becomes recognizing and honoring those as they present themselves to us. What could be wonderful and very necessary one day may not be at all desirable or needed the next. Being gentle of your expectations and demands of yourself as well as gifting time to reacquaint with sensations and feelings that you have denied will get you going quickly and in the right direction for you. BEST wishes, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > I've just joined this list, and enjoying reading your posts.
