Doctor recommends T4/T3 release--What do you think?

Because of a RT3 problem and low cortisol my doctor is suggesting Synthroid 125

mcg w/T3 SR, 2.5 mcg to see if I can clear up the problem. I did try Cytomel

only 50 mg but more heat and rosacea worse. She says I have too much T3 in my

system. What do

Labs are (one 2-1/2 grain Armour when taken)

 

T4------------------------1.49 (range .82-1.77)

Free T3.................4.3 (range 2.0 - 4.4)

TSH .....................006 (.450-4.5)

RTS......................292 (range 90-350)

 

I tried Cytomel, 50 mg for two weeks.  cea worse/burning face.  Lots of pain in joints/achy. Morning coritsol low,2.4 (range 3.7-9.5)Dr. thinks this new reigmen may clear out issues.

Your FT4 is already too high. It takes 12 weeks on T3 only to clear out

RT3 btu you need well supported adrenals and good ferritin levels ot be

able to do this., Symtooms when trialing T3 usually mean you need

adrenal support or iron.
