Guest guest
Well i used to love to dance as a child. I remember around 4,5 or 6 being in a free dance class where you did just that just moved as You felt. I was also on gymnastics and was quite flexible until I had a coach more interested in training athletes for like the Olympics tell me I was too fat and couldn't do his class. But do you think my Mom would've searched for a different teacher? No, I quit all of that stuff! And I think I've been trying to reconnect to that little girl that loved to move but my body isn't cooperating. Very frustrating! Zumba I can move my body how I need.to move and still keep up. The HipHop, forget it! I have a much greater appreciation for some of.those on DWTS. Â Alana I feel like a 2X4 instead of a willow stick when it comes to dancing. I can sense the rhythm and movement in my head but my body just can't 'translate' that into graceful actions. But if I cut free and just move - with no one there to see me! - I can enjoy the experience of moving to music. I marvel at you joining classes to further your enjoyment. That's not something I would at all feel comfortable to do. Hope you had a fun time with line dancing. At least there you don't have a partner to step on toes while learning. ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > I tried a Hip-Hop dance class tonight. Felt very frustrated with my body and my coordination. Love Zumba classes! Just not good at trying to learn choreographed dance steps. Find myself feeling a yearning loss for youth and missing the days of aerobics dance classes from the 80's. At least I tried it. Wednesday I try a line dancing class. Hopefully wont feel so uncoordinated. > Alanac. >

Guest guest
I'm terrible at dancing also! I took salsa lessons for a while and i was terrible! but i am envious of the zumba classes anyway -- they sound like so much FUN! i love it when exercise feels like play! Guest guest
I live Zumba! It is so much fun and my body can do most of the steps. What I can't do because my feet or knees I can modify. I'm horrible at the shoulder shimmy but it doesn't matter in Zumba. But boy can I shake my booty! There is an instructor that is really short like I am but boy does she have curves and she is solid. She shows me that sexy can be at any size!
