Some input on latest labs please.

I had labs done 1/5 and would just like some input from Nick or Val, or anyone

that is further along this trek than I am. I could not afford to do everything

that I did nearly a year ago and since I am flying solo, I did what I thought

would give me a good overall picture. My saliva cortils a year ago were all on

the low side of normal, but when I started on cynomel in June, I didn't do well

until I started on HC. I am taking 100 mg cynomel and 25 mg HC daily; each in 4

doses. I went off lipitor about 16 months ago.

I won't list all my labs, just the abnormals and ones I have questions about. I

did CBC and BMP, all normal except a couple of liver enzymes. My doses are:

T3 HC

8am 37.5 10

noon 25 5

4pm 25 5

9-11pm 12.5 5

Abnormals are:

Alkaline phosphatase 175 range 25-150

ALT 52 range 0-40

LDL 256 range 100-199

LDL Calc 169 range 0-99 These are better than

LDL/HDL ratio 2.9 range 0.0-3.2 when I was on Lipitor.

TSH 0.014 range 0.45-4.50

FT4 0.05 range 0.82-1.77

FT3 5.6 range 2.0-4.4

Cortisol,

total serum 8.0 range 2.3-19.4

Estradiol <6pg/ml That's below even postmenopausal

and girls under 10 years.

LH and FSH were in the mid to low postmenopausal ranges

Testosterone 17 range 6-82

I did not do RT3 or saliva Cortisols or progesterone....mainly because this

combo was the best I could afford.

I tried to wean down on HC, but became super, super irritable and Val said my

adrenals weren't ready yet. I still have some hypo symptoms, but am much better

than I was at the onset of this T3/HC treatment regimen. Can I increase my T3

to 125? Since my total cortisol is mid range I think I should be able to

tolerate an increase.

And, is it ok at this point to consider testosterone? My dear husband has been

an angel for our two years together, but it would be nice to have an interest in

sex. I'm only 53, too young to be this durn old.
