Guest guest
Hi there Ear pulling can mean an infection or teething- just your luck as you start out in the DOCband!!!! Personally if I had a baby who normally slept well, and I was absolutely sure they were cool enough at night (and it is sooooo easy for them to be too hot- so put up the air/con/dress very lightly, all the usual stuff), I would probably give them a dose of paracetemol or whatever you use for teething just for a couple of nights. If they then sleep a lot better, you can be sure it is probably pain or teething which just happens to co- incide with the band. Some babies do tend to take say a week to adjust to the new no-flat spot, as opposed to straight away, but I think if other things are waking them up, such as heat or teeth or an infection, then they will be much more disturbed by the band, so I'd try and rule these out as well. Good luck, it will get better, you rarely hear of babies whose sleep doesn't settle down within a week or two, even if it feels like forever when you are getting up in the night!
