It very well could be! I keep thinking back trying to figure out if there was

anything significant that happened in my life that could have distracted me from

physical hunger, and drove me to eat more emotionally. Paying more attention to

why I want to eat when I'm not hungry, I've noticed I tend to eat when I'm tired

or anxious. I need to conquer these feelings with something other than food!

my favorite books is " The Overfed Head " by Rob s. Six years ago I was very

successful with intuitive eating and the tips outlined in this book. I had lost

25-30 pounds and was back to a size 6! I felt great, and was able to keep the

weight off for about a year, and I NEVER felt deprived. But some how, I started

gaining the weight back. And I very quickly lost touch with my " thintuition " as

Rob s calls the ability to know when you are physically hungry vs. having

the desire to eat for other reasons.

try sooo hard to get back in touch with physical hunger cues, but I've found

that I am a " distracted unconcious eater. " I eat sooo fast, that after I've

finished, I realized I didn't enjoy any of what I ate and then I eat more. This

is especially true of desserts!!
