Yep, our sewer lines are frozen and so is the septic tank. The ground is frozen and can't be dug up. The people we bought this place from apparently didn't bury the pipes the way they were supposed to and just covered the pipes with enough dirt for the pipes not to show. The septic tank also was not buried deep like it was supposed to be. So we not only have plugged pipes, they are frozen plugged pipes, that split from freezing.... that lead to a frozen septic tank. My son has gone to the big town about 50 miles away to buy replacement pipes. My son's jackhammer is not working and the ground is too frozen to just dig. He has hauled buckets of hot water out to pour on the ground today. Finally he was able to dig up the broken pipe section. A neighbor has a jackhammer he will loan to my son tomorrow so he can dig up the rest of the pipe....Snow forecast for tonight but it doesn't look like we will be socked in with snow. We are hoping for decent septic-pipe-digging-weather tomorrow! Sharonjoin me on Facebook:Sharon Mars wobbletowalkThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
It was 5 rooms and a PATH when I was a kid - my granddad was convinced that a bathroom would smell like the outhouse - so indoor plumbing of any kind is still a wonderful thing to me! ;-) in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... "    http://www.flickr.com/photos/liadains_fancies http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com    http://practicalblackwork.com frozen sewer, plugged pipes... A neighbor has a jackhammer he will loan to my son tomorrow so he can dig up the rest of the pipe.... Snow forecast for tonight but it doesn't look like we will be socked in with snow. We are hoping for decent septic-pipe-digging-weather tomorrow!  Sharon join me on Facebook: Sharon Mars wobbletowalk@...
