Guest guest
Yesterday, as I was eating conspicuously at work, for probably the fourth time that day ( I pack copious amounts of food, as I really seem to be afraid of being hungry at work), a peanut butter and raisin sandwich after school, my student teacher, who is trying to be on a diet, and who is with me all day long, and has laughed at me for all the times I eat, this time said, " You're so lucky! " what a strange this to say! Lucky, how? That I give myself permission to eat when I'm hungry? It seems like it would be crazy not to. I take my full bag, with what is essentially four lunches, not that I eat all of them. In fact, I've even been throwing away some of the extras as I realize they've been sitting in the fridge for several days, and they no longer sound appealing. Today, though, people brought " junk " in, and I had donuts, and chocolate sandwich cookies, and peanuts and whatever that can't is that gets put in peanuts, and I feel slightly Ill, but I'm telling myself that's okay. I didn't eat any of my lunches because I wasn't hungry for them, and I scraped out the filling in the middle of the cookies because I don't really like it, and I'm trying very very hard to listen to my body, even in a room full of " forbidden " foods, which, though I ate more than I,m comfortable with, I didn't eat all day long, even though I was there all day....
