Guest guest
I sent my tx coordinator an email yesterday and asked if the tx physicians were going to wait a year to do a follow-up on the lesions, as recommended by the radiologist. She shared my email with the docs and they are going to order both an MRCP and an ERCP in Nov. I was also told to take Caltrate to help prevent further decrease in bone density. I faxed my PC and my endoscopist a note and a copy of my MRI report from '05 and '06, and asked what they thought was the best way to keep an eye on things. I have a feeling that the MRCP will be scheduled by one of them sooner than the tx team plans to, given my history, my family history, etc. Granted, I could be wrong. RE: pain in the right lower quadrant...I have suffered with stabbing pains in my lower right side, at the bottom of my rib cage for a year or two. These bouts started getting closer and closer and now I hurt there every day. Sometimes it will shoot around to my back, as well as ache in the front. However, today the pain was so bad I was about to vomit, and I broke a sweat! The majority of the pain today/tonight has been in the back more than the side. It hurt to twist, and sitting down couldn't be done without a loud moan. I'm beginning to wonder if it's my kidney, even though this is the same type of pain that has been associated with my liver. Does anyone have an opinion? Could it still be my liver? I think I'm going to make an appt. with my PC doc and see what he thinks. I had lot kidney infections as a kid and up into adulthood, as well as many kidney stones (all of which eventually passed without intervention). I never experienced this type of pain with any of that, but it could be something new I'm dealing with. Thanks, in advance, for any info. that may help solve this puzzle! Guest guest
Dear ; I am so sorry to hear of your RLQ pain. I am not an expert, but one possible explanation for the symptoms that you describe might be recurrent appendicitis (?): http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/1999/07_99/babb.htm Please do make an appointment with your doctor to have this RLQ pain investigated. Best regards, Dave (father of (21); PSC 07/03; UC 08/03)
