Guest guest
It's pretty nice here. Warmed up to 43 degrees today for a little while, the ice and snow on the roof is melting and dripping off and we were able to let the fires die out for several hours. Tonight a 40% chance for snow and an overnight low of 20 degrees forecast. Not too bad. Stay warm and stay off the ice:) Sharonjoin me on Facebook:Sharon Mars wobbletowalk@...This email is a natural hand made product. We could get 7-13 inches of snow, white outs because the wind is going to be 20mph or higher and this is the light fluffy stuff so it will be blowing around very easily. Guest guest
I lived with my grandma awhile when I was a kid - no " daycare " in those days - and since there were only 2 beds - grandma in one, grandpa in the other - I slept with her. There was a featherbed underneath, and on top there must have been - ALWAYS - a half dozen quilts and a couple of electric blankets, and then the big feather pillows. Everytime it gets cold enough to pile on tons of covers, takes me right back to first grade... :-) in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
That's what tells me too.. floor was so cold your feet cold stick to it.. they lived in an old " company house " the registers for the furnace were downstairs.. not ductwork to the upstairs.. so what little heat that went upstairs migrated.. lol.. and I'm pretty sure the wind whistled through the cracks in the walls too.. no insulation.. By the time I was born and old enough to stay at grandma's house.. they had retired and bought a little " house trailer " as they called it.. and that had central heat and a tiny tiny spare bedroom.. and diluted evaporated milk for on top the cereal.. which always happened to be corn flakes.. funny how those were the best corn flakes ever too! Had my choice of those or " coffee soup " .. usually for breakfast.. The lady next door, who saw me off to school at the beginning (1st, 2nd type deal).. breakfast was either toast & tea.. cinnamon/sugar toast & tea or on really good morning.. potato cakes.. if she had left over mashed potatoes. Memories... Guess I was just a spoiled kid.. thought an outhouse was a treat... don't remember floors being cold and having to have slippers for my feet.. or sharing a bed or bedroom (course that was cause I was the only girl in our family)....
