Guest guest
Sissi, That one made me cry. Getting the diagnosis has been the hardest part of all of this. Thank you for putting into words what I haven't been able to yet. Debbie Re: long story - talking to someone about Autism <sigh> Boone was diagnosed during a two hour interview with no testing whatsoever. I wrote a story about that too. http://home.isoa.net/~nitetrax/evaluation.htm Sissi -- who really thinks it's time for a humorous " Putter Tale "
Guest guest
Greggory had hours and days of testing. Alec was just an interview with me and him. Jacquie H Re: long story - talking to someone about Autism > <sigh> > > Boone was diagnosed during a two hour interview with no testing whatsoever. was dx'd during a one hour clinic interview with no testing, too. That doesn't bother me, though - I mean, they were right. Jacquie

Guest guest
's was a 2 or 3 hour home visit by a psychologist, language pathologist and social worker. They spent time playing with him and testing him while the others took turns talking to me. We'll just assume you all know how many full evaluations went through..... Guest guest
I first took for testing when he was two. He got a diagnosis of ASD when he was six. Four years of testing and arguing and worrying. I don't like to think about it. Thank god for his playschool teacher. She got him into the school district's autism program even though he had no formal diagnosis. And she was able to get us back into Pediactric Assessment Service where he finally got his dx.
