Guest guest
Hi Nick or anyone else with wisdom/experience here, I am on my 6th week of T3 only. I am finding that I am absolutely miserable and hypo unless I am taking 90 mcg T3 spread out 6 times through the day: 5a, 7a, 10a, 1p, 4p, and @ bedtime. I'm a little nervous because of what I read on the website: " ... you will probably end up on around 75mcg at around the 8 week mark. By this time your T4 levels will have decayed to an insignificant level and you will be able to adjust dose every 3 to 5 days to try and clear hypo symptoms. " Am I taking too much too soon? I think it's been a gift that for months my naturopath has been treating me with vit. D, HCl, DHEA, progesterone, estrogen, natural adrenal support and Armour (until the armour went bad)before we finally stumbled on RT3 being at the base of my myriad symptoms. So maybe my body has been being prepared to soak up the T3? Please give me a clue as to whether I'm overdoing and what to do instead if I am... Thanks much, Jeanne

If you don't have hyper symptoms of fast pulse AND higher than normal temperature then you are not hyper. As long as your adrenals can cope with the dose you are on then you are not on too much (as opposed to hyper). Because of the resistance that we are going onto T3 only to clear you can end up needing quite a lot to clear hypo symptoms at this stage. If you go up over the 100 mark then watch out around the 11 week mark for suddenly getting hyper symptoms and be prepared to drop dose and reestablish a new dose.
