Guest guest
Hi Mindy! I started solids 6 months. He is now 8 months but still doesn't eat but every 3 or 4 days. I figure he will start sometimes. He does like graham crackers and cheerios but only eats a few. He enjoys squeezing it more then eating it. sometimes he will eat 2 jars of greenbeans or such but not often. He still nurses 6-10 days day and night. Laurie New Hi y'all! My name is Mindy and I have two children. I have a son who will be 2 in August and a 4 mo old daughter. I breastfed my son through my second pregnancy (til he was about 15 mo. old). I am now breastfeeding my daughter and she is doing great. She weighed 11 lbs 3 oz at birth and was 16 lbs 4 oz. at 2 mo. She hasn't been back to the dr yet, so we don't know how much she weighs now. I don't know why I have such big babies. I am only 5 ft 2 in and my husband is just under 6 ft. They told me that next time I need to come in and induce at 38 wks or schedule a c-section...oh, by the way, i had both of my children with no epidural (vaginal with no meds). My son weighed 8 lbs 15 oz. When do y'all plan on starting solids with your babies? I started with my son at 8 mo. We tried at 6 mo but he didn't care and it was more work for me so I decided to wait til 8 mo ) Looking forward to getting to know you all, Mindy Jer's wife Nate and Lela's Mommy If I could show you how to make $500-$800 /mo part-time at home with no selling, inventory, or MLM pitfalls would you like to hear about it?bondslaves@... Guest guest
Hello! I'm Michele, mom of three :-) I also bf my toddler through a pregnancy, she is still going strong though. Some days I wish she would wean, other days I enjoy it. I started solids at 5 months with #1 against dr's suggestions, he said to wait until 6 months ;-) I tried solids at 5 months again with #2 but she didn't like them until she was about 10 months. With #3 I am going to wait until 6 months....really! Michele, mom of Arran 12-27-93, Keely 12-5-97 & Rowan 3-15-00! Guest guest
I started when Ds was 7 months. He is now 8 months and is just beginning to really like them. He loves graham crackers and I asked ped about the honey. She said that it is so processed that it is safe to give. Guest guest
Well I gave him a teething cookie yesterday and I had just laid it on the little tray and he picked it up and held it in his mouth chewing on it. I didn't let him have it for very long for fear he wasn't suppose to have wheat or whatever it is made of yet, but he was sure enjoying it and would have like to keep chewing on it...(made a huge mess). He is 5 months 2 weeks old. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Guest guest
I tried to give the biter cookies last week (top 4 teeth are coming in). She did fine until the cookie started to get mushy - then she took off a big chunk. I, of course, panicked and pulled it out of her mouth (yes, she howled at me!). How do you know if it's OK to let them try to chew a chunk of food? She really gums at the little pieces that I give her. I'm just so afraid that she'll choke. And speaking of teeth coming in... my little love has nipped me a few times with her bottom teeth (ouch!). My mom tells me to just tell her no and make her stop nursing for a minute and then try again - I tell her no and she smiles her gorgeous smile at me. Same thing when I tell her no to pinching mommy (she likes to pinch my nipple and put it in her mouth like she pinches her other food). Once these top teeth come in she and I are going to have to have an understanding about not biting mommy. Any suggestions? --- MadelynnS@... wrote: > In a message dated 08/01/2000 7:34:37 AM Pacific > Daylight Time, > dlweller@... writes: > > << So at what age or stage can you start giving > graham crackers, cheerios, > and > those little Teething cookies to the babies? > >> > It really depends on your child.. in fact my > daughter liked finger foods much > more than baby foods, and I prefer something closer > to the real thing, than > processed baby foods.. > > a lot depends on their ability to chew.. Guest guest
, My son only bit me a few time...because it would hurt so bad I would react and make a high pitched scream and swat him! ) Another thing you can do is pull their hair along the back of their neck whenever they do it so that they associate pain with biting you and they will stop. Hope that helps, Mindy Jer's wife Nate and Lela's Mommy If I could show you how to make $500-$800 /mo part-time at home with no selling, inventory, or MLM pitfalls would you like to hear about it?bondslaves@...
