I agree; sometimes great inner pain can be turned into great art, song, writing

or other creative works. Its wonderful that the human psyche has the capacity

and potential to transmute pain and anguish into beauty.

......“Pain or suffering of any kind,” he wrote, “if long continued, causes

depression and lessens the power of action, yet it is well adapted to make a

creature guard itself against any great or sudden evil.” And so sorrow was

explained away, because pleasure was not enough. Sometimes, Darwin wrote, it

is the sadness that informs as it “leads an animal to pursue that course of

action which is most beneficial.” The darkness was a kind of light....

This article is great! Depression is for me when my body spirit and soul say

ENOUGH! we have enough of what is happening and what are you doing to

yourself!!!!! Until you''l get to your senses we refuse to work

properly...you have plenty of time but you didn't see the red flags now it

is our turn to halt until you get some rest and wisdom and with that some

energy to put this wisdom in action!!!!

Ps. I agree! We are among the greatest poets, artists, thinkers and writers

of all time!
