APD Seeks Input for iBudget Plan

APD has been directed by the Florida Legislature to develop and implement a plan for a new funding system called iBudget Florida. This plan would have APD customers currently using the Medicaid waiver to pay for services to instead receive an annual budget based on a statistically valid methodology. Each person could prioritize how they spend the money allocated to them.

APD is required to submit this plan to the Legislature in February 2010. In the meantime, APD is seeking input on this potential new way of handling and providing benefits.The draft iBudget Florida is available at http://apd.myflorida.com/ibudget/draft-ibudget-florida-plan.htm.
