Dear Friend,

I will be speaking about guardianships for the developmentally disabled this Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm at the Royal Palm School in Lantana. As many of you know, once a person with developmental disabilities reaches age 18 years old, they become adults with all of their legal rights intact. A parent is

no longer their special needs child's legal guardian. If the child still needs help with certain things, it is important to set up a limited guardianship for the child to he or she is protected and can continue to receive the help he or she needs. I hope you can come to this event or will forward this email invitation to someone else who might be interested in attending.
