Guest guest
I thought it might be fun and profitable to have a chance to each list one particular tip that helps us eat mindfully and with enjoyment. One thing I'm working on right now is eating the best parts, the most delicious parts of any food first and leaving the dry, less appealing parts for last. This helps me feel satisfied since I'm enjoying the most delicious parts of the food first, and at also helps make it easier to stop when I'm full/satisfied because what is left is not as appealing. Sometimes this can result in me picking apart my food a bit to get at the best parts, but as long as I can control myself and not do this too annoyingly in public, what's the harm? ;-) It's the opposite of what I always did growing up (you know, save the best for last), but I find that it's true that once you eat the really delicious parts of something, it's much easier to leave behind the crusty, dry, unflavorful bits. What about you? What's one thing that helps you?
