they justified their spending..."the other side of the story"

I still want a copy of the breakdown of expenditures...I don't think it added up. I would be curious as to what some of the problems were specifically...like for example he said transportation was a big problem since most ESE children are door to door. Was the solution to the problem to buy more vans/buses or was it to add more hours to the drivers schedules or perhaps plan the routing a little differently to make the most of the gas expense. You see I know in my situation, they had a speech therapist driving from Miami to North Lauderdale to see my son. Are their no speech therapist in my area? They pay mileage and gas...and a bit towards the wear and tear...as they should but maybe they could hire a therapist in North Broward or subcontract with a clinic to provide which I am sure would be less expensive than the cost of a van/bus or mileage/gas/wear and tear plus salary. Throwing money at problems usually isn't the solution...better management can save huge dollars and usually makes more people happy...but what do I know, I am just a mom??? I think its going to take all of requesting the documents...and what a pain that is. One would think since it is going to be a topic at a meeting you might should have brought it to put up on the projector to review or maybe include in the package of handouts that they printed that were not relevant to the meeting except for one...if I hear paper shortage one more time. I can save them tons of paper...and there are too many to list here...
