Hi, Katcha. Speaking of whines (which I have been doing a lot of lately), now I am going to talk about one, maybe two, "good" things I have noticed about myself lately. First off, I am on vacation, which really puts a deep strain on my eating activities, because I tend to order things from the menu I would never make for myself at home, or even order from a restaurant at home. Number two, I am noticing, after my last complaining activity (and by the way, thanks for listening), that I am more able to stop eating when I realize I'm full, or getting satisfied. And I am able to leave food on my plate without remorse or guilt, something I would never have been able to do in the past. So -- perhaps -- things are changing for the better. Thanks for all your help, and thank you also to the others participating.

Welcome ! Sounds like you are giving IE a really good go. What might make it better for you is to take a deep breath and realize that you don't need to do everything all at once and certainly not 'perfect' either. Being gentle with yourself is one of the suggestions and a good one to start with. If you can select just one aspect of IE to do at a time, you may find that it seeps into your life much easier than if you try sooooo hard ;-) Meanwhile do join in with comments, questions, whines are OK too and of course crowing about any and all baby steps you do along your IE journey. Those inspire us all.

BEST to you, Katcha

I also feel VERY out of touch with fullness. I practiced a structured, weighed and measured plan for many years, and I'm afraid I've lost touch.
