If your question was about light treatment for itching, I don't know how taking antibiotics affects your ability to have UV/B treatments. Anytime you are exposed to such lights, you have to be carefully monitored. When I started them, I was exposed for only 12 seconds, and then it slowly increased. I do know that different meds affect how you react to the sun so talking to a dermatologists is an absolute. It also depends on your skin type, age, previous exposures, etc. I am very fair, and have never been able to tan, so I gave up sitting in the sun when I was a kid. I think I was a bit more sensitive than many others. The itching stopped after 5 weeks of treatments, 2 or 3 times a week, so it was maybe 15 treatments, then I got a bad kidney infection(not related to the lights) and landed in the hospital for several weeks so the treatments stopped, but the itch didn't come back.

That is my experience
