Guest guest
, Many thanks for your email. I have been spotting since a exploratory hyst but this was something to do with my cervix and not a true period. I am not decided on if I will have a second opinion yet, but as my husband is from Sydney and we plan on moving back there once we have sorted this out, so maybe I'll go to see the doctor when I get there. Guest guest
Gwen, Thanks for your email, I don't think he/she (I have a feeling it was a woman) is not worth the air fair. Dr G said 'The walls of the cavity are dissected carefully, but macroscopically there are no islands of endometrium in this area too.' Corinna please correct if I'm wrong but I'm sure he said that the lab results where negative for endometrium. Lesia

Guest guest
Lesia, I'm so sorry this had to happen to you. If I understand you correctly you are not considering going for a second opinion. I know it's hard to do that, being from Europe myself and knowing that Dr Gallinat is the only A-list doctor here. It's a relief to hear that he at least is willing to testify for you, however. I hope you will win your case and will keep my fingers crossed for you. One thing that puzzles me a bit is that it says in our profile list that you do have periods, doesn't that mean you have to have some functioning endometrium left? Guest guest
Oh my LORD Lesia!! SO even when the scarring was removed there is no endometrium " behind " it?! That UK doctor must have scraped you so hard!! You poor thing! I want to fly over there and hunt down that doctor myself and say....I don't know....scrape the inside of HIS reproductive organ will a DULL HUNTING BLADE!!! I am so very sorry to hear this news....just awful to know that someone has hurt you so. To have scraped so much that you have no endometrium left!! Unbelieveable.... The only hope is that we do know that endometrium can regrow over time.....did Dr. G tell you whether the biopsy revealed any basal cells at all? Or only myometrium? Hang in there....give yourself some time to heal and " digest " this information and decide where to go from here. Thinking of you... Guest guest
Leisa, I. am so sorry for your news. You are in my thoughts!! Kristi lesiakyriakou@... wrote: Hello,Well I thought I'd better explain a bit about what happened. As you know I had my surgery on Tuesday, when I came around it had taken less than an hour so I took this to be a good sign. Then Dr G came to see me and said there was no Endometrium.Yesterday I went to see Dr G so I could ask the questions that you guys and Corinna had helped me come up with.I'm still in a bit of shock so if I stuff this up please correct me Corinna.Dr G hit scarring to start with and the whole uterus was scarred shut he managed to open it up and was able to fully open the cavity un fortunately even with a clear view there was no endometrium, he took a small biopsy which confirmed this.Dr G has agreed to testify on my behalf and I have contacted my solicitor, I'm not just going to be running a cash case but also trying to get the doctor struck of.Dr G confirmed that the doctor had butchered me and this could not be seen in any other light than a case of negligence. If I had seen another doctor I might have thought he had got it wrong but I already know in my heart that he has told me the truth.I will try and thank you all individually for your messages in the next few days but please believe they really have made a difference to me.Sorry to bring a bit of a dull note to the group when we have had so much good news recently, but I kind of figure that we have to have the odd miss for all our hits and I'd rather it was me.Lesia

Guest guest
Lesia, I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are really able to get a little revenge on that doctor. If not for anything, but so he will not be so careless and cruel to his future patients! Will Dr. G be able to tell more from the biopsy? I hope things turn around for you! lesiakyriakou@... wrote:

Guest guest
Dear Lesia; I hadn't read the posts when I read your email to me. Dr. G's findings sound a lot like what the doctor found with me last summer. Scarring at the bottom and no evidence of any endometrium above. Even though we got some regrowth above, it was not enough below to stay open. But perhaps yours could be different? Is there any possibility of leaving a balloon in for a week + lots of estrogen in case there are some normal cells up there? I asked for that after the surgery last summer and it did help some, just not enough. On the other hand, Dr. G truly is the expert. You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.
