Atlanta advice needed please

We live in Cumming GA and need to have our child evaluated to determine if he is

on spectrum or what on earth is going on! Ha. I need names for child

development pediatrician or child psychologists in the Metro Atlanta area that

you would recommend. I did contact Dr Bussey but they aren't seeing new

patients till 2012!!! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I also

welcome any people you would NOT use so we don't waste time and money. Thanks

How old is your son? If he's 3-4, you can probably contact early intervention through the public school system and they will have him evaluated. Sometimes it's much much faster than a waiting list. If he's younger, call the school dept and ask what age the child has to be before early intervention will take them. Also, if you can get your pediatrcian's office to recommend someone and have THEM call to make the appt, you can usually get in a lot faster that way. I had a heck of a time finding someone to re-evaluate my son three years after his initial evaluation. Waiting lists were 2 years long. Good luck! -tammy
