Guest guest Posted January 20, 2010 Report Share Posted January 20, 2010 The first of the three winter storms forecast for this week hit last night, first with hard rain at midnight. My dog, Yippy, happened to get sick at that moment and had to go outside. He didn't want to dally, as usual, though and barked to get in our of the rain after a few minutes. I woke this morning to only about 3 inches of snow. Tonight the second storm is supposed to hit. Officials in town have made plans to open shelters tonight because they expect power to be out so many people will be without heat. Since we are off-grid and use wood heat we aren't impacted by that sort of thing:) The propane delivery truck decided to come today and the kid driving got stuck in the snow/mud/slush on our road. My son and grandson worked for several hours to get the propane truck un-stuck. That truck was stuck to the top of the tires. Poor kid.
