Cheryl,

It is most likely a delay tactic. In the 10 months I have been on-line with

this group I have never heard of anyone being denied (well in the end

anyway). Dr. Thayer's office will work with you, and your insurance company

to get you your approval.

Hugs,

Joni - Dr. Thayer 11/27/00

Cheryl, It is sooo hard to be denied, rejected refused for this surgery.

i know cause after 9 months of being processed inspected detected I was

denied for surgery...but it lead to being accepted at another hospital, with

a differant Dr. and procedure. 8 months later I had a sucessful surgery

that was right for meand less invasive with a quicker healing time. But

when I was denied it was the pits. It was hard for me to turn my attitude

around and go for the gold but I did use the rejection time to design a

pre-op plan that allowed me to prepare and condition my body for a positive

experience too, so take a deep breath and use your allies. We are all here

for you! Take care and keep posting Priscilla

Cheryl,

I'm so sorry you're going through this, BUT, there is a bright light at the

end of the tunnel! There are a bunch of people that often times need to

fight for their approvals, and for many reasons as well. It often times

works out for the best, unfortunately waiting sucks. GOOD THINGS happen to

those who wait! Just keep fighting, let the office staff at NWH do their

jobs, and they'll get you where you want to be.

Please try and hang in there!!! I'm with you 100% of the way!

Just getting around to reading my mail and saw your distressing news.

However, don't give up. If anyone can persuade the insurance company to

approve you, it's Dr. Thayer's team. They have had wonderful success getting

other denials turned around and should be able to help you. Hopefully, since

I am so far behind in my mail, by the time you read this, you will have

already been approved. Good luck and keep us posted.
