I haven't yet received any notice from social security in the mail but I did receive a deposit to my checking account this morning in the amount of $24,750 from US Treasury Soc Sec. The news is both a relief and scary, of course. Being declared disabled by the federal government will help me qualify for some assistance programs, including Medicare. On the other hand, as a single person relying on only SSDI for income, I'll have no choice but to move into cheaper housing and eventually move back home with family. Currently one can't even get onto a waiting list for section 8 housing in California. Dan U dao_nguuhotmail .. Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection. Sign up now. Guest guest
Oh Dan,That really is a good news/bad news sort of thing. I don't knowwhat to say to be honest with you. I wish there were some openingin section 8 housing for you out there. :-(I can relate to the mixed feeling about being declared disabled. Inmy case it was a bit of a double whammy in that they decided thatI also couldn't handle my finances, which is why my hub is rep payeefor me.Take it all in stride. Moving back with family may prove to be a blessing for you...and them. You're in my prayers and thoughts, hugs, Kate Approved for SSDI todayTo: mserslife > > Hi, gang:> > > > I was apparently approved for SSDI. Guest guest
Congrats on being approved! That's crazy that you didn't get a notice but got that huge deposit in your bank account. I hope everything will work out for you in a positive way, Dan. Is it really expensive to live in San Francisco? Your family is in Wisconsin, is that right?hugs Sharonjoin me on Facebook:Sharon Mars wobbletowalk@...This email is a natural hand made product.
