Guest guest
Hello to all! I have just joined this group but I think I am finally where I need to be. I am 56 and my family doctor has just diagnosed my father as BP. My doctor is the grandchild of a BP and that is why he knows so much about it. I have worked hard to build my self esteem, give my children a normal childhood and just keep everything on an even keel. We had to move Dad in with us about 17 months ago and everyday becomes more of a torment than the day before. He is a very dependent BP. I am reading the book " Surviving the Borderline Parent " and he fits 'the Waif " personality type. It just feels so good to know I am not alone. Good luck to you all and we will all keep working toward healing ourselves and surviving these childish demons who pretend to be parents. I am so grateful I found all of you!
