Guest guest
In my experience people in 'body break down' don't often have extra stomach fluids, although it may seem that way. Very often low stomach acid is confused with high stomach acid. When you have low acid you can have a lot of reflux, because the acid stays there too long since it is not strong enough to trigger release of the food into the intestines. A simple way to find out, next time you get the acid after food, take a teaspoon of vinegar in some water, or a teaspoon of some other strong natural acid like grapefruit juice. OR take an HCL tablet if you have one. If that makes you feel better it is because you are underproducing HCL. Few people naturally over-produce HCL, as the body ages and breaks down we tend to produce less, and that causes the regulation problem that leads people to believe they have high acid. Even doctors usually miss this since it is so easy to prescribe antacids. But maybe you are in the rare group that does. However I know many people who thought they over produce and they actually under produce, including myself at one time. A test - on an empty stomach take a half teaspoon of baking soda in some water. If you belch in less than 2 minutes or so you have normal or maybe high stomach acid (rare). If you do not belch that quickly, or not at all, you actually have low acid levels. Taking Salt or mag chloride 20 minutes before a meal is very important as the parietal cells produce HCl from chloride ions in the blood, and that loads them in the blood. If you are actually low acid, taking the calcium as an antacid just ensures that your food will not get properly digested. Also, this increases the risk of digestive parasites. --Kurt How about too much stomach acid ?? This has plagued me from the beginning of my body breakdown.. I was really hopeful after the fifth chelation as I could decrease the amount of buffering I need {I take 750 mg calcium/ 475mg magnesium with every meal plus alka salts after eating when that is not enough}.. I am too acidic with any type of food... Now after more chelations I am more acidic again... I do get very dizzy when I am over acidic which makes me think of the adrenal connection... Should I try the more salt program?? I was eating very little salt about 15 years ago and I was sooo fatigued.. When I first started having it again I would chug a teaspoon down to bring back my energy.. ANy other suggestions much appreciated... Guest guest
Thanks for the info but I know I do have high stomach acid.. I tried the HCL for some time and ended up with alot more discomfort. My stomach hurt from the beginning.WHen I take alka salts {alka salts are baking soda in a purer form} I do burp and my dizziness goes away and my energy ,stomach gets better...SO nuts I am one of the few... I tested negative for H-pylore {the bacteria that causes ulcers] .Then I went on the antibiotics for ulcers just in case the test was incorrrect.. I felt better with the antacid but the treatment did not help the acidity.. SO I am stumped as to why I do excrete alot of acid---My father has the same problem-- so some sort of genetic link... body1million In frequent-dose-chelation , " Kurt R. Guest guest
Thanks NAdeem but not with me--This cavitation you refer to is from teeth that have been taken out right? I have had overacidity from the begginning thirty years ago and did not have any teeth out until twenty-two years later.. I did have several root canals though before getting ill.plus an infection in my salivary gland most of the last fifteen years---After getting the root canals in my teens I noticed looking back that I became more hyper so I wonder if this is the connection.. That plus the staph infection might lead to overacidity... I sure hope so -- this symptom is one of the most annoying.... plus the leaky gut stuff causing food sensitivities and a bladder problems-- I am praying for another six chelations and getting a total healing-- dream on!!!! But I do keep reminding myself where I was only four months ago and I am quite happy with the healing so far!!!!
