Guest guest
My aunt is wheelchair bound and leaves her door to her highrise low income apartment door unlocked. The water man brought her water in the other day and asked for her phone number. She gave it to him and the next day he called and asked her out on a date! Her youngest daughter has a big mouth like me so I didn't call the water company because I knew she did. My mom lives there too and said she lets him bring the water in and he ask for tips! I go to various highrise senior buildings as part of my job. I now see a real need for a safety class for seniors. Anyone have an suggestions were to look first for the material? Guest guest
abraxis3@... Hi Diane, I feel that elderly people are easy pray because they are 'lonely' to begin with, and this alone is enough to bring down their defenses. So, until this issue is tackeled, I don't believe anything else would really work. What kind of social life does she have? Any? There are organizations that come and take people to places where the elderly get together and play cards, etc., and it doesn't cost anything. If she has a good network of friends, it will open her up to not need the negative kind of attention.
