Optic Neuritis they can see and photograph. The trickier one is Retrobulbar Optic Neuritis, but visual and spatial exams can rule that in orout, as in that case the neuritis is behind theoptic nerve entrance point in the brain. Most cases of Relapsing-Remitting MS,begin with optic neuritis, the kind that canbe seen by the Ophthalmologist (M.D.)http://www.jandoerffel.de/on.htmI do wish that these articles were on whitebackgrounds; sorry about that.Love,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Tue, February 2, 2010 2:07:34 PMSubject: Re: Curious - optic neuritis

Oh.. I remember that.. "too close to the TV" too.. LOL.. but then I'd

lay in front of the TV with a book in front of me.. did my homework that

way most all my life.. and the "bookmobile" (rolling library) books

during the summer as well..

Did you read in that article Sharon posted about optic neuritis then

developing MS within 15 years or so???.. well that explains the optic

neuritis when I was a kid.. So I guess that I'm doing darned good with

the Monster, considering I'm 51 now.. LOL..

And yup.. the switching eyes thing can be quite.. I'm not sure what it

is quite.. but it is.. LOL.. And the ophthalmologist is the place to be

for our eye concerns.. not just a regular eye doctor.. They aren't going

to prescribe much for the optic neuritis (or so my eye doc said) unless

it's the very first round of ON.. but they have some kind of machine

that they get detailed pictures of the optic nerve that helps somehow

with something.. concerning the MonSter..
