Heidi,

It's so nice to hear from you. Don't ever not pop in because you think

we'll be mad at you!!! No way!!! All of us have different schedules and

things going on in our lives, and can't possibly keep up when they work.

Don't worry about deleting messages. If you want to read them when you have

time, our new archives are in a very good format. Just go to the archives

and all the messages are there.

Your life sound wonderful. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

I think it is great that you are making your dress. I used to do a lot of

sewing, but for some reason unknown to me, I don't do it anymore.

I made all my kids clothes until they got to the age where it wasn't cool

LOL! I have material to make drapes, but it is still in the bag and has

been there for 2 years. Maybe if I didn't spend so much time on the

internet, I would do more sewing. I need an internet anonymous!

It is great to hear that the mtx is working for you. I may be starting it

soon, and need to hear any news! Glad the orthotics help you.

Thanks a for the encouragement. I always try to skim over the

articles you send in, at least so I don't miss something really

important, and I am always very appreciative of the time you take to do

it. Keep the material for a rainy day, when your pc is not cooperating,

but by all means to go finding an internet anonymous group, we'd be lost

if you were ever reformed !

As for the MTX, I just wanted to remind you about my nausea when I first

started on it in the oral form. You suggested the shot, and for me that

was definitely the way to go. Plus its only once a week, and its not

another pill ! I hope if you have to go back on it, you'll have as much

success as I am having.

Heidi,

So YOU're the one getting married! Congrats!

You may ride in on my wings anytime you want!

Things sound like they're going well. I'm envious of you making your

gown, though. I made my gown,(first time around) and did a lot of sewing

for Bridal Lane, making matching flower girl's dresses to match the

bride's maids. Those were the days.

Then, 3 years ago, my youngest daughter was to get married and wanted me

to make her gown. I had to say no because of my hands. I bought her a

wonderfully unique gown which is hanging in my mother's CLEAN closet. My

daughter called off the wedding. That's ok. I told her, " Next time,

we're ready! " LOL

I still have my first wedding gown which is now almost 28 years old. I

will never part with it.

There is nothing like a self-made gown. You're going to have to post a

picture of you in it when the big day comes around.

Heidi,

I was on the oral several years ago and couldn't tolerate it. I will

definitely take the injections.

Thanks for the encouragement. At this point, I have to stop this

progression. Enbrel is helping the inflammation, but it is still on the

move. If my sed rate is high when I go back next month, I am definitely

adding it.

I'm truly an addict, but will never reform from this group :)

I have just started using LDN and can't say I notice anything yet - but I

have primary Progressive MS and wonder if anyone out there has the same and

is using LDN and are having good results?

low dose naltrexone

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] greetings

I am pleased to post here after taking LDN for 2.5 years.

I took my research downloads to my neuro and GP as well as the

pharmacist when I first wanted to use the LDN as part of my protocol.

The pharmacist couldn't make the compound himself so got a recipe

from Dupont in liquid form which my husband and I make up at home.

It costs $170aus. to buy the 50mg tablets which we grind down with

2mil simple syrup and 48 mil purified water which gives 50 mil liquid

of which I take 4.5 mil per night.

It makes it a cheap therapy since there are 30 pills per bottle. If

I was a drug addict or alcoholic though, I could get the pills for

$3.50. My PCP actually rang the Government dep which controls

pharmaceutical benefits to see if I could be eligible but alas since

the Naltrexone was being used out of mainstream I had to pay its full

price.

I'm not complaining. I have never had an adverse reaction and have

slept like a log from the first sip. This from a person who was sent

to a sleep study(polysomnology) unit for the lack of it.

All I can say is " I love my endorphins! " I generally have a smile on

my face and yes I have MS.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and send a greeting to all fellow users.

I thought I'd share my thoughts regarding Dr. Bihari and his fees. Other's

experiences may be quite different . .

I realize that the first reaction to Dr. Bihari's initial consultation fee

seems extremely high. I know my initial reaction was WOW! But, I went back

to check some of the charges that I incurred when I met with neurologists

for the first time. My first consultation with a neurologist at the

Cleveland Clinic was over $400 (10 years ago) and I think my meeting with

him was 1 hour. I remember meeting with a neurogist before that who

basically told me that my issues with balance were in my mind, and he

charged me $200 for that 20 minute visit. It certainly helps that

insurance covered a percentage of those charges and it's unfortunate that

some insurance companies (like mine) will not cover Dr. Birhari's services

or the medication. Maybe other neurologists don't charge as much as the

Clinic - I don't really know - but compared to my experiences, he might be

on the high side, but fairly comparable, at least for an intial

consultation.

My " phone consultion " with Dr. Bihari was almost 2 hours and he was so kind

and empathetic. It didn't seem like 2 hours! He shared a great deal of

information and was concerned that he answered all my questions. He never

made me feel like he had spent too much time with me. Another nice thing is

knowing that I can call his office with questions and know that I can get an

answer from someone with his level of experience with the medication.

Hopefully, the cost won't discourage someone from considering Dr. Bihari IF

you can't find another doctor to prescribe LDN.

ear Humanity Healing members, My name is Rev. Yonny Y and I have been a friend of RAK on myspace for some time now. I look forward to working with you all and I send you my love and wish you all to know that I constantly send healing around this globe for anyone to take of and share. I do not force my healing upon anyone I do however share that power with everyone and if they need the healing and want the healing it will always be there for them. Prayer means work and we have a lot of work to do to heal this sanctuary called earth. One day soon we will take power and instead of sending bombs and soldiers to foreign land we will send doctors and medicine, teachers and books, but we must do the work.
