Cold medicines and Thyca

Being a high school student who goes to a petri dish full of bacteria

and viruses every week day, I recently picked up a cold. When

searching through our medicine cabinet, I decided to look at the

warnings on Dayquil and Tylenol Allergy Sinus. <<Do no take if you

have: ...thyroid disease... >> Can you have thyroid disease if you

have no thyroid? hmm... as my doc is out of town and the lady I

talked with just gave me some samples they had, I was wondering if

anyone here knew anything about this . what sort of

antihistamines

are safe to take, if Dayquil will really mess with the body etc.

Any opinions welcome, just kinda curios. I do plan to ask my own doc

when he gets back but any insight in the mean time would be

interesting.

Cheers-

Holland

Goiter detected: June 2001

Surgery: Aug. 2, 2001

Oblasion: September 2001, TSH count 99.9

Small dose scan: June 2002, TSH count 127 after 2 weeks off hormone

Best piece of advice for hypo land: Drink lots of water, don't make

your body deal with dehydration AND no thyroid hormone.
