Stephani,

I have been spraying , could it have anything to do with the baking powder I

added

to the top layer. Someone told me to add a little baking powder and whip with

a fork to get that frosting look. I got the look, but when I removed it from

the mold the layer came off. I will try again next week.

thanks for you reply, and help,

Shirley

Hello, I'm new to the list and fairly new to making

soap. I've been trying to do m & p soap loaves and

I am having trouble getting layers to adhere. I was

told to stick a hat pin through to the bottom layer

so the warm soap will help hold the layers togeather

and it works somewhat, but I don't know if it will

hold togeather bathing with it. Do any of you

have any tips you would share?

Thank you,

Shirley

Stephani,

Thanks, the only part of the soap I put the baking powder in was the top

layer, it gave it a fluffey look. But you know I think I let it get to hard

and cool . And told me to spray with vodka that is supposed to help.

I'm so gratful for this help, thanks again.

I heard from a most excellent M & P'er that, after you pour the first layer,

spray it with vodka instead of rubbing alcohol. It apparently makes it

smoother and helps things stick better.

HTH!
