The abuse stops here

Here is a short commercial ( " Children Are Watching " ) showing how children are

basically hard-wired to mimic their parents' behavior; its the child's " normal. "

Kids pick up mommy's and daddy's behavioral style in the same way they pick up

their parents' language: through constant exposure.

That's what makes us KOs here so remarkable; even though we were exposed to

chronic, daily stress in the form of emotional, physical and even sexual abuse,

or neglect, or exploitation by our own parents, we have been able to stop

ourselves from passing on that legacy.

To me, that speaks loudly of innate factors having a large (if not the key) role

in how a person turns out. Even though we suffered abuse, we consciously choose

not to become abusers ourselves.

That's pretty damned significant, sez I.
