Virtually any symptom can be written off to being hypo, but I agree that the give away is the fever. Feeling feverish, sure. But actually being feverish, I don't think so. My body temperature drops by several degrees when I'm hypo, and anyway, a fever is a symptom of something going on other than depleting hormones. If it hasn't totally, absolutely disappeared by time your scheduled ablation, I'd consider postponing it.
